Our Story

Children test, twist and throw. Our firstborn did too.

It all began with a problem many parents recognize. Mealtimes filled with more chaos than food. Plates ending up on the floor, food spread everywhere, and constant attempts to create some semblance of calm at the table.

When we couldn't find a plate that actually stayed on the highchair tray, we decided to create our own. At the kitchen table, Sandra developed the first prototype, and that's where the journey began.

As parents of young children with a shared drive to solve a real problem, we combined our experiences. The goal was to create a product that is both functional and thoughtfully designed. A plate that can withstand determined little hands.

After countless prototypes and several years of development, we finally arrived at a solution that worked. An innovative plate with four straps that attach under the tray, holding it firmly in place throughout the meal.

The result is a plate that cannot be lifted or thrown on the floor. Above all, it creates calmer mealtimes for both children and parents

Where playfulness meets function!

We chose the name Buffo Baby to capture the charming and humorous side of early childhood. The word “buffo” means “comic” or “ridiculous,” which perfectly suits those moments when children surprise us with their funny antics – like throwing plates when you least expect it! By combining this playfulness with smart design, we at Buffo Baby want to create products that are not only functional but also reflect the joy and humor that children bring every day.
